EICR – Electrical Installation
Condition Reports for Landlords
EICRs
An EICR is like an MOT of the electrical installation. The most competitive quote is not always the way to go as you will not always receive an honest report. We price our EICRs to make a profit rather than relying on the fact there will be additional work required to make it worth our time.
We do not complete major works, for example complete or partial rewires, so if we state additional works are required, there is no conflict of interest for us to produce more work.
We carry full van stocks in which we keep the majority of materials required to rectify issues to allow us to issue a satisfactory EICR. For example, sockets and switches to replace damaged items and smoke alarms. This saves landlords money, rather than having to reattend and charge an additional callout fee.
You’re in Safe Hands
We currently work alongside two of the largest letting agents in the area, and have built up great reputations with local landlords in the last few years. We are also happy to arrange the appointment with tenants or estate agents, saving the landlords hassle.
What will an EICR entail
Tests are carried out on all wiring and fixed electrical equipment. The EICR inspection will verify the condition of switches, sockets and light fittings. We will also check the condition and type of wiring. We will issue an Electrical Installation Condition Report, which identifies any deterioration, defects or dangerous conditions.
